The Bedazzled sculptural series is a vibrant, sparkly tribute to cultural and personal icons. Using rhinestones, reclaimed fabrics, and vintage Aboriginalia, Aretha transforms familiar materials into bold statements of Blak sovereignty, joy, and resistance.

This body of work playfully challenges the expectation that Aboriginal artists must adhere to traditional dot painting styles. Each piece is a glittering act of defiance, reclaiming kitsch, celebrating humour, and embracing unfiltered happiness as a radical expression of identity.
